Browning A Bolt and A Bolt 22 Hunter Trigger Spring
Lighten your rifle trigger pull. On average, installation
of this spring will reduce your factory triggers weight of pull by 1¼ to 1¾ lbs. with no other changes.
The exact amount of creep, overtravel and weight of pull are dependent upon the type and amount of tuning accomplished by
your gunsmith.
This is a very easy spring to install, but first be sure that the gun is unloaded. Then remove the front and rear trigger
guard screws, and remove the barreled action from the stock. Now to replace the trigger spring, push out the trigger
pivot pin, and push the trigger forward so that the original spring can be removed. Replace it with the new spring,
and re-align the trigger with its pivot pin hole, replace the pivot pin, then check the operation of the trigger by closing
the bolt and dry firing. Now repeat this operation with the safety on to be sure the safety is functioning. When
you are confident that the trigger and safety are functioning reliably, reassemble into the stock. We always recommend
that the reliable functioning of your trigger and safety also be checked by a gunsmith.
