Remington M-700 Deluxe Spring Kit M-700, 1962-2006
My Deluxe Spring Kit Contains:
1 Varmint Trigger Spring
1 Light Ejector Spring 1 Medium Ejector Spring 1
Ejector Retaining Pin 2 Trigger Alignment Pins
(for easy assembly of the trigger to the receiver.)
Lighten your rifle trigger pull. On average, installation of this spring will reduce your factory triggers weight
of pull by 1½ to 2½ lbs. with no other changes. The exact amount of creep, overtravel and weight
of pull are dependant upon the type and amount of tuning accomplished by your gunsmith.
This spring kit fits all Remington M-7 and M-700 including the
X Mark-PRO trigger, introduced in 2007, but not the new X Mark PRO adjustable introduced
in 2009. | Picture #1 | |
These triggers need special attention to keep them clean. Use a cleaning rod guide to protect the trigger
from barrel cleaning solvents and oil. Do not spray aerosol lubricants directly into the trigger. Over time, many
of these products will get sticky and retard the free movement of the trigger and sear within the trigger housing. ESPECIALLY
IN COLD WEATHER. Any rifle which may have an accumulation of dirt and oil in the trigger housing should
be cleaned by a gunsmith before any springs are changed or adjustments are made. This is best done by removing the entire
trigger assembly from the receiver, and then cleaning each individual part.

Trigger alignment pins ( picture #2 ) are avaliable separately, or as part of my Deluxe Spring Kit. These
alignment pins enable the gunsmith to re-assemble the cleaned trigger parts into a sub-assembly which can now be placed back
into the receiver as a unit. As the original trigger retaining pins are driven into the receiver, and through
the trigger assembly, the short alignment pins are driven out the other side of the receiver. This makes an otherwise
difficult job very easy.
Available separately, or as part of my Deluxe Spring Kits, are 2 reduced power ejector springs, 1 light , and 1 medium.
( picture # 3). These ejector springs are easily changed and offer the hand-loader or target
shooter a choice in how far fired cases are ejected from the gun. These springs also work well for the varmint
hunter shooting from a portable bench or from the prone position. When opening the bolt, the light spring will just
barely get the fired case out of the gun. The medium spring will eject the case a few feet, but not so far out into
the weeds that you can't find it. | Picture #3 | |
Accuracy is also improved, because the ejector is placing less sideways pressure on the loaded round.
This off-center pressure forces the bullet to the side, as far as the chamber will allow, and out of alignment with the bore. If your rifle needs to do double duty for larger game, such as coyotes called in close, saving your brass won't
be as high a priority, and it will be easy to re-install your original ejector spring, as no modifications have been made
to your bolt or ejector. Older RemingtonM-700's have a solid ejector retaining pin which is headed on one
end. These pins should be driven out from the proper direction. Newer Remington M-700's have a roll or spring
type ejector retaining pin which can be driven in or out from either direction. My Ejector Spring Kit contains a replacement
roll type ejector retaining pin which will work in both old and new guns.
IF YOU WANT A LIGHTER TRIGGER PULL, YOU
NEED A LIGHTER TRIGGER SPRING!
No liability is expressed or implied for damage or injury
which may result from the improper installation or use of this product.
