Aluminum Stock, Ends machined to fit radius of the Rem. M-700
Aluminum Pillar Bedding Stock
Ends Machined to fit the Radius of the Remington M-700
Two 4" long pieces of 1/2" OD X .260 ID 6061 T-6 aluminum pillar bedding stock. This is enough
to pillar bed 2 rifles. Both ends of each piece are precisely machined to fit the radius of your Remington M-700, M-40X,
or M-721 & M-722, etc. By leaving the radiuses intact, and parting
off in the middle, you will have 4 custom length pillars, each with one end having the correct radius to match the round Remington
receiver. Part off the lower end of the front pillar at 90 degrees
in a lathe. This will match the front of a BDL trigger guard assembly, or an ADL front escutcheon. If you have a milling machine, mill the bottom end of the rear pillar on an angle to match the ADL or
the BDL trigger guard. If not, you can file or belt sand this angle. Or simply part off at a length which establishes
line contact between the lower front edge of the pillar and the trigger guard. For more complete contact between the
two, glass bed them! . No liability is expressed or implied for damage or injury which may
result from the improper installation or use of this product.
